The Mason Tenders’ District Council Political Action Committee is the political arm of the Mason Tenders’ District Council of Greater New York and Long Island. Our mission is to maximize the influence of you, the members, in the highly competitive New York construction market. Without your PAC, it would be exceedingly difficult for the Laborers to get approval for major unionized construction projects, create and pass health & safety regulations, monitor and influence the highly regulated private carting industry and expand the markets for environmental remediation. The MTDCPAC Board is comprised of the Business Managers and officers of General Building Laborers’ Local 66; Asbestos, Lead and Hazardous Waste Laborers’ Local 78, Construction & General Building Laborers’ Local 79; and Recycling & General Industrial Laborers’ Local 108. We work in conjunction with all of the other Laborer’s locals statewide as part of LIUNA-NY. Our Chairman is Bobby Bonanza, Business Manager of the MTDC. Our Treasurer is Mike Prohaska, Business Manager of Local 79. And our Director is Mike McGuire, a 40-year member of the Laborers.

A Message on THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING
from PAC Chair Bobby Bonanza
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it once more: When Laborers vote, Laborers win. Check out the list of endorsed pro-union, pro-community candidates on the endorsements page. All of these candidates have been screened by the Mason Tenders District Council of Greater New York and Long Island Political Action Committee and are committed to growing a better future for our New York City and Long Island with Laborers front and center in the rebuilding process. We can’t afford to put our homes and neighborhoods in the hands of anti-Union forces who do the bidding of special interests, who don’t believe we deserve the fair family sustaining wages and benefits we have gained through decades of collective bargaining. We need allies who recognize that the members of the Laborers’ Union in New York are the driver of economic and social justice, allies who will work to put us to work.
Whether you choose to vote old-school in person, new-school by early voting or easy as can be by mail-in ballot, make your voice heard loud and clear. Vote on Primary Day, Tuesday, June 22.
In solidarity,
Robert Bonanza
Business Manager, MTDC
